Ep. 84: Tuck and Roll, B**ch

Emily and Taylor are joined by their awesome friend, Ret, who is there to be both witness to and cause of things getting...weird. Emily tells several stories of people who survive falling off of cruise ships, and Taylor gets religious (lol) with the near-death-experience story of Mary Neal. There's also a surprising amount of talk about if the movie Titanic were a porno. So. There's that. Enjoy! 

Ep. 83: This One's for Crimes

Content Warning, which is also stated within the episode: discussions of suicide and suicidal ideation. Taylor tells the story of Constantinos "Danny" Filipidis, who went missing in upstate New York, and was found 6 days later in California. Emily's story earns our content warning with the story of Emily Torchiana, a woman who was endured intense cyberbullying in high school and went on to become an educator and activist. 

Ep. 82: Feels Like Womb

We done switched steezes here, everyone. Emily's talking avalanches, and specifically a man who survived one very recently. Turns out--we don't like avalanches any more than we like tsunamis. Taylor went full true-crime, with the story of the abduction of Ben Ownby-- a boy whose rescue leads to the recovery of another victim as well--Shawn Hornbeck.

Happy Monday, everyone! This episode, Taylor brings you the story of Haley Zega, who had help from a strange phenomena while lost in the woods as a little girl. Then, Emily brings the train straight into sads-burg with a story you may remember: The 2017 stabbing of Micah Fletcher and 2 others on the light rail in Portland.

Ep. 80: Empathy Up the Waz

Hello everyone! This episode, Emily tells the tragic story of 4 people who died, and 2 children who survived, a horrible accident at the Dreamworld theme park in Australia. Then, Taylor attempts to lift her co-host's spirits with a story of a community who comes together to find a missing woman, Lisa Holman. 

Ep. 79: Do a Dollop of Daff

Hello listeners!  We keep things light-ish for the first 80% of this episode, with Taylor telling the story of Ross Capicchioni, a young man who survived being shot multiple times by someone he thought was a friend, and Emily tells the story of the 1858 Bradford sweets poisoning, and it is exactly as weird as it sounds. After a harp noise, we do go on to decompress a bit about the events of last week, for anyone who gets ASMR out of hearing people bitch. 
 

Ep. 78: Folie a Dumbasses

Emily and Taylor manage once again to be on similar wavelengths with their stories-- Emily tells the story of sisters Leslie Roy and Lee Wright, who survive a time stuck in the cold wilderness with some good spirit and ingenuity. Taylor tells the opposite of that-- David Coughlin and Raffi Kodikian, two men stuck in the desert who give into terrifying delusions of their own imminent death. 

Ep. 77: Oh No...Oh No...

DISCLAIMER: Hey all we are so happy to be back, and we hope, in the spirit of being reunited, you will forgive this little whoopsie. Emily's story is actually one we have covered on a previous episode. HOWEVER, it does have some more updated information, and because neither of us realized this at the time of recording...we treat it like a brand new story. Originally in episode 47, Em tells the story of Nikki Goeser, a stalking survivor turned guns-rights activist. Taylor, meanwhile, brings the story of Jacklyn H. Lucas, aka Mr. Immortal, who survived pretty much everything the military could throw at him. 

Ep. 76: It's the Trombones Number

It's our spooky ep, everyone! We've got our friend Lizz on this one for the first time! There's an attempt at making black vodka, there are tangents, and there are stories that err on the spookier side-- but really, at this point, what's spookier than other human beings? Nothing! Emily talks of a teacher who comes to believe her students are possessed by demons, and Taylor brings your the story of 2 families who survived being stalked by someone they called 'Restricted'. 

Ep. 75: ...And What You Get is a Bear

Happy 75th everyone! Is this the...diamond anniversary? I don't know and I refuse to look it up. This episode both has a bear and WAS a bear, so, we apologize for the tardiness, but we hope that you enjoy this episode. Taylor's got a bear story (because we just can't stop, I don't know what to tell you) that is truly insane-- so no skipping!
